For over 25 years citizens from Valdosta have gone to Constanza. Both Mayors have agreed to become Sister Cities.
CULTURAL VISITS
Our goal is to have intercultural visits with one another with a foreign student exchange program as well as commerce.
VOLUNTEER ENGAGEMENT
There are opportunities for our citizens to have a hands on involvement with different facets of life there. Small towns nearby need water filters, cement floors for those who have a dirt floor in their homes and medical missions.
Both of our Universities have agreed on a foreign student exchange program!
Here in Valdosta, Dr. Felix Valdez was a shoe shine boy in the Dominican Republic. Someone paid for him to go to school. Who will you make a difference for?
Three Non-Profits in Valdosta serve in Constanza, Dominican Republic. They are Disciples in the Dominican Republic led by Glen Jones, Rock the World led by Roger Sims and Constanza for Christ led by Ricardo Vielmas. Disciples in the Dominican Republic emphasizes pastoral support and church planting. Rock the Wold emphasizes evangelism and Constanza for Christ serves as an umbrella over the Grade School, and other needs in the overall ministry.
